Petrol, diesel prices increased
ISLAMABAD: The government on Thursday increased petrol and diesel prices by Rs1.5 and 1.40 per litre respectively which will be effective from today (Friday).
After the increase, the new price of petrol will be Rs64.27/litre and diesel Rs72.52 a litre. Prices of these two products were increased, but no change was made in the prices of other petroleum products.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had recommended an increase of Rs3.09 in petrol price and diesel by Rs1.40 per litre. It had also proposed increase of Rs4.67/litre in price of high-octane blended component (HOBC), Rs4.91/litre in light diesel oil (LDO) and Rs5.64/litre in kerosene oil price. Except petrol and diesel, prices of other petroleum products will remain unchanged.
