As many as 291 students of MBBS and eight graduates of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programme would be conferred degrees and gold medals at the first-ever convocation of the Sir Syed College of Medical Sciences Karachi to be held on Saturday (today).
According to Prof Dr Zaman Shaikh, a senior faculty member of the medical college, seven students of the MBBS batches from 2009 to 2015 and one from the BDS programme would be awarded gold medals for exemplary academic performance.
KU Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Qaiser would be the chief guest on the occasion, while senior doctors and health experts from various educational institutes and varsities would be in attendance.
