Shepherd injured as lightning falls on him

TOBA TEK SINGH: A 15-year-old shepherd was injured when lightning fell on him at Chak 24/GB, Rajana, on Friday.

Shepherd Rafaqat Ali was present in a field along with his goats near Dabanwala Canal Bridge when suddenly heavy rain started and lightning fell on him. As a result, he received serious burns and was rushed to the DHQ Hospital in critical condition.

He said this while addressing the concluding function of Jashn-e-Baharan at Sports Stadium here on Friday. He lauded the arrangements of the event. Additional Sessions Judge Khizar Hayat Gondal, DCO Amir Ijaz Akbar, ADC Zeeshan Shabbir Rana, AC Wasif Bashir Khokhar, Senior Civil Judge Hafiz Muhammad Yousaf and DBA president Mian Farrukh Iqbal were also present.
