Nine prisoners released from District Jail Toba

TOBA TEK SINGH: District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Yar Wallana on Sunday ordered release of nine prisoners from the District Jail who were involved in petty crimes.
During his visit, the judge inspected various parts of the jail, including barracks and kitchen, and issued necessary orders on the spot. Senior Civil Judge Hafiz Muhammad Yousaf and Jail Superintendent Akram Sheikh were also present.
COMMITS SUICIDE: A youth committed suicide at Chak 689/31-GB, Pirmahal, on Saturday night.
Asif Yaqoob ended his life by taking poison. The motive behind the incident is said to be a marriage issue.
HOCKEY STADIUM: ADC/TMA Administrator Zeeshan Shabbir Rana on Sunday announced to change Umar Chaudhry Hockey Ground of Housing Colony into a stadium.
While addressing the prize distribution ceremony after Jashn-e-Baharan hockey match played between Gojra and Toba hockey teams on the ground, the ADC said that construction of the stadium would start soon. District Sports Officer Ataur Rehman, District Information Officer Nisar Khan, TMO Rana Ghulam Dastgir and EDO Works Saeed Ahmad were also present.
