‘Hired’ assassin arrested
TIMERGARA: The police claimed to have arrested a hired assassin within eight hours after he allegedly killed a youth at Tazagram area in the jurisdiction of Ouch Police Station on Saturday night.
Talking to local journalists, the district police officer, Lower Dir, Qasim Ali Khan, said that a police party led by Head Constable Noor Muhammad chased a hired killer identified as Khan Zada, a resident of Sauni in Upper Dir, soon after the accused allegedly opened fire on Muhammad Arif at Tazagram village. Arif was killed on the spot while his friend Irfanullah sustained injuries in the firing.
The DPO said the police party arrested the killer along with the weapon used in the crime. The police registered a case and started an investigation. Head Constable Noor Muhammad was awarded cash prize for his bravery and efficiency.
