Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce used to meet up in secret at stadiums when they first started dating.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ defensive coach Dave Merritt revealed that the international pop star used to fly under the radar to watch Kelce play when they first sparked their romance last summers.
“When she first started to come around, it was privately,” Merritt reflected.
“She was coming into the stadiums without people really knowing until the camera put a big spotlight on it,” he spilled during an episode of The Sports Shop With Reese and K-Mac.
But as they went public with their relationship, Swift found it harder and harder to avoid the cameras as she continued to cheer on her boyfriend from the stands.

However, Merritt noted that despite the hate from NFL fans, “[Swift] actually affected the team in a positive way.”
“So when my player, a brother, is happy beside me, that helps me and that encourages me and so Travis came in there a different man. So, she helped us,” he said of Swift’s influence on their tight end.
He continued, “There were so many people that were hating the fact that she was being shown on the TV that, you know what? You’re a part of our family because you’re now with Travis. So, therefore, you’re our little sister... You’re part of our family.”
