King Charles III, who's battling cancer, broke the cover moments after his younger son Prince Harry lost High Court security battle.

The monarch appeared shunning news about Harry's UK court case as he waved his well-wishers and smiled to greet them.

The 75-year-old made his first public appearance on Wednesday after Prince William's unexpected decision to cancel his godfather's memorial service at the eleventh hour.

The monarch was photographed in the State Bentley leaving Clarence House this morning ahead of more cancer treatment in the capital.

The new photo of the King came just moments before a High Court judge rejected Prince Harry's challenge against the Home Office over a decision to change the level of his personal security when he visits the UK.

The Duke of Sussex has released a meaningful video for his patronage WellChild, hailing the "extraordinary strength and spirit" of young people with complex medical conditions, calling on the public to nominate the "remarkable individuals who inspire you" for the charity's upcoming 2024 awards.
