FMC marks World Cancer Day
Islamabad: Community Medicine Department of Fazaia Medical College (FMC) marked the World Cancer Day at Air University here on Thursday.
Air Vice Marshal (r) Faaiz Amir, vice chancellor of the Air University, was the chief guest on the occasion. Major General (r) Professor Salman Ali, principal of the Fazaia Medical College, and Dr. Rukhsana Khan, head of Community Medicine Department, were also present on the occasion.
Student of MBBS (1st year) arranged various competitions including preparation of posters and placards regarding the prevention and cure of this dreadful disease. Students also presented presentations under the theme 'We can; I can'. The purpose of the activity was to create awareness among the students regarding importance of preventive measures and early diagnosis to beat the menace at the initial stages. The Air University vice chancellor and the Fazaia Medical College principal also addressed the audience.
