Islamabad
All private schools in Islamabad announced they would reopen for regular studies today (Tuesday).
The information was shared with parents of the respective students on Monday night by email.
However, on Monday some private schools in the federal capital reopened campuses after the ‘self-imposed’ week-long holidays over the inclement weather, while the others continued with the suspension of classes on their own.
Among the elite school systems, which kept their schools closed, were Headstart, Beaconhouse, Roots International and Froebel’s. The Islamabad Convent School was also closed in the day.
However, the branches of Roots Millennium School, SuperNova School, and low-fee privately-owned educational institutions were open.
With some clearly citing security grounds as a reason for the campus closure, most schools didn’t elaborate on the move.
They just informed parents about the development by email or over the telephone promising update latter in the day about how long the campus closure will last. However, they on Monday night informed the parents by email that all private schools in Islamabad would reopen for regular studies today (Tuesday).
