Roots German Language Department joined hands with Goethe Institute to facilitate his students with the best learning procedures and to expose them to international environment by arranging tours to Germany to enrich them with German traditions and customs.

Roots International Schools has always taken steps to take forward the Germany and Pakistan’s bilateral relationship to heights. RIS in collaboration with Goethe institute sent their German language students to attend different youth camps, trainings and short language courses every year which help the students to gear up German language skills.

Recently students from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Iran attended Goethe camp in India. Zainab Abbas, a student of IGCSE III represented Roots International Schools in the youth camp. There were three divisions of the camp; MINT, Schulezeitung and Comic. All the renowned instructors and trainers, Ms. Elking and Evelyn Welding guided students in Schulezeitung.

Students actively took part in different events and activities which were a part of the camp. They took pride in performing different cultural dances from all the regions of Pakistan.  The camp began on 4 January and then the students had interesting discussions about their favourite German words.  Students discussed themes the next day, such as Zukunft (future), Traume (dreams), and young people's dreams. The theme chosen for expression of thoughts was “Freedom, dreams, going against the norm, not running for doctor/engineer”.
