All Punjab ‘Mushaira’ at RAC

Grand all Punjab ‘mehfil-e-mushaira’ was arranged under auspices of Rawalpindi Arts Council for the promotion of literary activities and to provide neat and clean entertainment facilities to the people of twin cities.

Famous poet Atta-ul-Haq Qasmi presided over the ‘mushaira’ and Prof Anwar Masood was guest of honour, while Additional Commissioner Tariq Mehmood Tariq was chief guest on behalf of Commissioner Rawalpindi division Azmat Mehmud.

Senator Najma Hameed, MPA Raja Hanif Advocate, MPA Teheen Fawad and MPA Lubna Pirzada also participated as distinguished guests flanked by Naheed Manzoor and Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed.

Additional Commissioner Tariq Mehmood Tariq before reciting his poetry said that all available resources are being utilised for the promotion of literary and cultural activities on the kind instruction of Commissioner Rawalpindi division Azmat Mehmud and today's event is an example among one of them.

Naheed Manzoor said that every effort was made to make the ‘mushaira’ successful. RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed said that special interest of Commissioner Azmat Mehmud and Additional Commissioner Tariq Mehmood Tariq put a life in cultural activities at Rawalpindi Arts Council.

Atta ul Haq Qasmi, Prof Anwar Masud, Dr Inam ul Haq Javed, Sarfraz Shahid, Dr Ehsan Akbar, Uzair Ahmed, Naseem Saher, Naurin Talat, Kausar Samreen, Dur-e-Shahwar, Mehmoob Zafar, Dr Rashid Mateen, Tabassum Ikhlaq, Mehmooda Ghazia, Farkhanda Shamim, Hassan Abbas Raza, Imran Ami, Dr Arshad Miraj, Dr Abrar Umer, Asghar Abid, Saleem Akhtar, Tariq Mehmood, Farzana Naz and others recited their poetry and received thunder appreciation. The ‘mushaira’ was continued for more than three hours which attracted a large number of people from twin cities.
