150 graduates awarded degrees at IBA Sukkur’s convocation

A total of 150 graduates were awarded degrees in business administration, electrical engineering, computer science, education and mathematics at the third convocation of the Institute of Business Administration, Sukkur, on Saturday.
As many as nine gold medals were awarded to meritorious students of different academic programmes: Muhammad Saqib MS (Management) for Spring 2013; Attaullah MS (Computer Science) for Fall 2013; Faryal Aijaz MS (Applied Mathematics) for Spring 2013; Ali Raza Saeed (MBA- four years programme) for Fall 2010; Paras Sindhu (MBA- two years programme) for Fall 2012; Shafaq Siddiqui BS (Computer Science) for Fall 2011; Faiza Azhar BS (Software Engineering) for Fall 2011; Waqas Ahmed BE (Electrical Engineering) for Fall 2009; and Zoya Juman Jamro (Associate Degree in Education) for Fall 2013 batch.
Silver medals were awarded to Atta Muhammad of MS (Computer Science) for Fall 2013, Farooq Ahmed Shah (MBA-four years programme) for fall 2014 and Rakhi BS (Computer Science) for Fall 2011, and Rinkal Rani, an MBA-four years programme degree for Fall 2010 with a bronze medal.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah presided over the ceremony as chief guest, and the leader of opposition in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, chaired the event as the guest of honour.
The chief minister praised the efforts of the dean and director of the IBA Sukkur, Professor Nisar Ahmed Siddqui, for leading the institution to progress in such a short span of time. He emphasised the role of the youth in making Sindh prominent not only in Pakistan but in the entire region as well.
He appreciated the work the IBA Sukkur had been doing for the province and showed great regard for the community service that was a part of its mission. As a support to this mission, he announced a sum of Rs40 million for the IBA Sukkur.
The chief minister also congratulated the graduating students on receiving the degrees from the best educational institution and wished them success in their future endeavours.
