Bosnia, IIU agree on educational cooperation

The Bosnia and Herzegovina government and International Islamic University on Sunday agreed on bilateral cooperation and support on education.

The agreement came during a meeting between Bosnia and Herzegovina Ambassador Nedim Makarevic and IIU President Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh at Faisal Masjid campus of the university.

During the meeting, issues of mutual interest and matters pertaining to the improvements in the field of education came under discussion.

The ambassador hailed the IIU for its role in nurturing the youth of Muslim world in the light of Islamic teachings.

He also appreciated the activities arranged by IIUI for the dissemination of Islam’s message of peace.

Dr. Al-Draiweesh informed the ambassador about the university, its faculties, institutes, academies and recently arranged conferences and seminars.

He said the IIU was keen to expand its educational ties with all the institutions of world and especially with the varsities of Islamic world.
