New Year cultural show held in Dallas

Dallas: A New Year cultural show highlighting all four provinces of Pakistan was hosted at Regency hotel in Dallas, by All Pakistan Women Wings (APML) Dallas President Dr. Tasneem Agha along with Hina Bhangar, Ruby Chaudhry and Azeem Nadeem.


Several local boutiques also participated in the show and staged dresses from several parts of Pakistan.


Mariam Fashions CEO, MS Ruby Chaudhry provided dresses for children participating in fashion show. Among children, Ashley Jiyaworthny, Anisa Qasmi, Nayab Akhtar, Fatima Bhangar, Noor Akhtar, Maham Naz, Kajal and others participated in children fashion show.


People in the audience appreciated the children show very much. Sindhi, Punjabi, Baluch and Pakhtoons folk dances were also presented at this occasion.


Various social and national songs were sung by locals in whom Zahra Chishti, Zahra Ahmad and others performed and received appreciation and were lauded for their performance. Food and dresses booths were also staged in for which people enjoyed very much.


Eighteen prizes were awarded to people in the community including women, youth and children. All Pakistan Women Wings (APML) Dallas President Dr. Tasneem Agha along with Hina Bhangar presented awards to the winners.


The program included events of common interests including face painting and Mahndi. The program concluded with All Pakistan Muslim League Women Wing (APML) President Dr. Tasneem Agha address where she said that the purpose of this show was to introduce our own culture and traditions to our children.


She said children living in America can gain knowledge of our culture and traditions from this kind of program. She thanked all of the women who participated in the program and brought their kids to the event.


Dr. Tasneem Agha said it was a great show, music, fun and food. Very well organized and full of talent from all ages and size.


Different folk cultures of Pakistan were very well represented. All the items presented by children were holding high quality and standard. Different folk dances by women were marvelous. Neelma Mirza and Sharmeen sang beautiful songs. Rubi Caudhry, Hina Bhunger, Uzma Nadeem,Naheed Shaad and other members deserve special mention.


She said “all the members of Women wing APML worked very hard. I could have not done it alone especially when there was no support from president APML Dallas Mr. jawed Siddiqui.”


"We as a group have shown that we can get together, organize, conduct, deliver and bring about good results. Bottom line is we can work under any umbrella”, she added.
