18 killed in petrol pump fire in Khuzdar

KHUZDAR: At least eighteen persons were killed and several others were hurt when unknown gunmen opened fire at a petrol pump in Khuzdar that ignited the fuel station and a passenger van standing close by, Geo News reported Friday.


According to police, some unidentified gunmen opened fire at a petrol pump due to which the station caught fire that also engulfed a passenger van nearby. As a result, eighteen persons including a child and a woman were killed while several others were hurt. Five nearby shops were also damaged.


Meanwhile Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani has summoned a report of the incident.


Police and rescue teams were able to control the fire within 30 minutes of reaching the spot. The injured and deceased were rushed to nearby hospitals.

The motorcycles should be completely baned in Pakistan. Or it should be compulsary that the future motorcycles should only one seat for the driver and no more seats for any passenger. The current motor cycle has become a weapon of the terrorists. Please stop these.
