LAHORE: Punjab Women Development Department Secretary Irum Bukhari has assured women of better facilities at working women hostels. She expressed the views during a surprise visit to the working women hostel in Faisalabad. She said she had started surprise visits to the hostels to improve service delivery for working women in the province. She ordered disciplinary action against the staff of the hostel for being absent. Speaking to the women, Irum Bukhari assured them that the Women Development Department would strive to improve the functioning of the hostels and issued directions to the Directorate of Women Development director to devise an IT-based system to ensure the presence of the staff at the hostels across the province.
