KALAYA: Member National Assembly Ghazi Gulab Jamal said that the return process of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Orakzai Agency would start today.
Speaking at a jirga of the tribesmen at Orakzai Agency political compound in Hangu on Monday, the MNA from Orakzai Agency said that IDPs would also be compensated for the losses they suffered during militancy.
He said development projects in Orakzai Agency were underway. He added that the returning IDPs would be provided all facilities in their areas. The jirga demanded rehabilitation of the infrastructure and payment of compensation amount the affected families before starting the return process.
Ghazi Gulab Jamal said that he opposed the bill presented by the parliamentarian from Fata in the National Assembly about the merger of the tribal areas into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
