Islamabad: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has planned to take disciplinary action against its daily-wage employees, both teaching and non-teaching, for boycotting duty to protest non-payment of salary and non-regularisation of services.
Around 2,000 FDE daily wagers working in Islamabad's over 400 government schools and colleges for years have been on strike for a week.
After the weekend, they've planned to take to the streets again to push the government into accepting their demands announcing that the boycott of duty will continue until they're paid salary and their jobs are regularised in line with the court orders.
Now, the FDE on the directives of the top CADD bosses have decided they'll act against the employees boycotting duty on Monday.
