Student of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will henceforth receive quick information about carrying out their proposed amendments in academic record, including names, addresses and selected courses, says a press release.
Acceptance of their request for the particular change will be communicated to them through website, email and text message as soon as it is incorporated in the academic record. At the same time, the old practice of communicating the information through post office will continue.
Same information will also be passed on to the relevant regional offices. For this purpose, the students in the request form, available on the university’s website, will be required to give their cell and email numbers.
A new link has been given at the university’s website, where information about the tutors as per changed courses will also be available. The new web-based system has been adopted following some feedback received by Vice Chancellor Dr Shahid Siddiqui during his recent visit to the university’s regional office, Quetta.
