Islamabad: The Riphah International University’s Institute of Public Policy and Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR), Ministry of Science & Technology, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of mutual cooperation here.
The MoU will facilitate in creation of a linkage between research organisation and academia to enhance research and development capacity of both organisations. The collaborative activities will be undertaken in the areas of common interest, including joint research activities, exchange of experts, faculty members, research scholars and students, exchange of academic material and information, collaboration in academic and scientific activities through conducting courses, joint conferences, symposia and technology transfer.
The MoU was signed by Riphah International University Pro-Chancellor Hassan Muhammad Khan and PCRWR Chairman Dr. Muhammad Ashraf. Speaking on the occasion, both heads of their respective organisations assured that this linkage will enhance cooperation between research organisation and academia through their capacities, expertise, technical know-how and infrastructure in addressing the challenges of the water sector of the country thus filling gaps in research-based management of water resources.
