The Youth Carnival organised by Institute of Space Technology (IST) concluded at IST here on Saturday.
The three-day mega event of its own kind started from May 7, featured about 60 events with the participation of 50 universities from all over country.
The carnival featured a diverse blend of events providing means of interest to a wide variety of aptitudes. The students were called upon to display their, oratory, planning, artistic and cognitive skills while taking part in various competitions. Such an activity of getting to know people from various parts of the country develops a broader vision and tolerance towards others.
A prize distribution ceremony was organised on Saturday, to acknowledge the winners of different competitions during IST Youth Carnival. Additional Registrar Pakistan Engineering council Engineer Dr. Nasir Mahmood Khan graced the occasion as chief guest. The carnival concluded as great success and offered an important platform for the university students from all across Pakistan to get to know each other, develop links that would pave a way for cooperation and collaboration in future.
Over 1500 participants of about 50 universities from all across the country turned up during the three day wide ranged youth carnival. Over 1000 visitors also visited IST during three days of IYC 2015.
May 7, 2015 events included ‘Qiraat’ competition, ‘Hamd and Naat’ Competition, Business Plan, Bilingual Essay Writing competition, Bilingual Story Writing competition, Water Rocket competition, Avion Faire, Wall Graffiti competition, Painting competition, Sketching competition, Calligraphy competition, Visage Canvas Workshop, Singing Auditions, e-Poster Designing competition, 3D CAD Modelling competition, Bridge Breaking, Digital Logic Design, Speed Wiring, Lithe Copter, Programming, Gilder competition, Drama MIME , Dance competition, Business Plan, Speed Programming, IYC Selfie contest, On Spot Photography competition, Journalism competition, Sports (Basketball, Table Tennis, Futsal & Cricket).
May 8, 2015 comprised of Bilingual Declamation contest, Community Learning, Product Rebranding, Microcontroller Interfacing, Circuit Designing, Concept Wars, Scrap Tech, Dare to Conquer (Mathematical Hunt), Singing Competition, Fashion Entrepreneurial Challenge, Battle of Bands, Logo Designing, e-Gaming competition, T-Shirt Designing, and Sports.
May 9, 2015 covered Redefining Pakistan, Escape from Infinity, Computer Labs, e - Gaming Competitions COD 4, Counter Strike 1.6, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, FIFA 11 & Call of Duty MW 4, Sports, Urdu Poetry competition and Short Films competitions.
