The Federal Directorate of Education on Wednesday organised a security conference for the government educational institutions at the Islamabad Model College for Girls F-7/2.
Principles of all schools and colleges and their security focal persons participated in the event.
FDE Director General Aamir Ashraf Khawaja arranged the conference on the directions of Minister of State for the Capital Administration and Development Division Barrister Usman Ibrahim.
Additional Inspector General of Police, Islamabad, Sultan Azam Temuri briefed participants about measures taken by the police for the security of schools and colleges and apprised them of how to protect students and staff members against possible terrorist activities on campus.
After the briefing, Sultan Azam responded to the questions of the participants on the security of educational institutions.
Five hundred people attended the event.
Commenting on the security conference, Minister Usman Ibrahim said the division would leave no stone unturned for the security of schools and colleges.
