LAHORE
Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Central Secretary Information Noorullah Sadique has demanded that a judicial commission should be appointed to investigate the alleged fraud in Nandipur Power project. He said a 28 billion rupees project is set to be completed at a cost of 58 billion and the extra 30 billion should be taken out of the pocket of the Punjab chief minister.
In a statement on Monday, Noorullah said the prime minister, chief minister of Punjab and federal water and power minister and a handful of bureaucrats are fully involved in this criminal act. He said the auditor general will not be able to sustain the pressure of the PLM-N and hence this investigation should be conducted by a Judicial Commission. He said our slogan is “No Corruption, No Terrorism.” The PAT information secretary said the eyes of the nation are on the corruption committed in the Nandipur power project and the Solar power project.
