‘Agriculture ties with Russia improving’

Pakistani agricultural commodities are of international standards and best flavour and this year Kinnow worth Rs. 200 million has been exported.
This was stated by Minister for Agriculture Dr. Farrukh Javed during a meeting with a delegation of Russian Trade Representatives under the leadership of Mr. Yurk M. Kozlov on Thursday. Director General Agriculture Extension Dr. Anjum Ali was also present.
Dr. Farrukh said that Russia was a huge and lucrative market for our agricultural commodities. He said we were planning to increase cooperation in research and development with Russia in agriculture sector. The Punjab government is interested in increasing exports of potatoes and oranges to Russia.
