A national leadership awards ceremony was held on Monday. It was organised by an NGO which has been working in the field of health, education, poverty alleviation and social uplift. Addressing the participants, Dr Abdul Ghafar Billoo said in developed countries, health and education standards are high, access to food is easy and workers get due rights, handicapped and weaker people get better care and women are empowered. Dr Shaikh Tanveer Ahmed said, “Like justice, everyone should have the right to education and the concept of education for a job should end.” Around 50 people were rewarded for contribution to their respective fields.
