LAHORE
Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Siddiqul Farooq has said that he will not compromise on corruption and lawlessness and deal hooliganism with an iron hand.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, he said that his predecessor would be soon behind the bars for his alleged corruption.
Commenting on illegal appointments made during the PPP rule, Siddiqul Farooq said that those employees, who were recruited through transparent manner, should not be worried and continued working honestly and diligently.
He said: “The scrutiny of appointments would be continued as per directions of the Lahore High Court. It would be better for those, who got appointments through fake domiciles, fake degrees, etc to resign from their posts.” He said that those, who had been issued show-cause notices, should come up with their answers in 15 days. He further said that he would move the court to seek directions for taking back all perks and privileges from the fake employees they had enjoyed over the years in the ETPB.
