Under the CM’s education reforms, more than 40 million (96 per cent) free books have been handed over to officials concerned for distribution among government schools students, said Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board Secretary Sajjad Ahmad Khan.
Addressing a meeting here, he said that work on the remaining 4 per cent books would be completed in a couple of days.
He said that books prepared for private educational institutions were available in the market while a sale point of the textbook board had been set up in Urdu Bazaar.
On the directions of Secretary Schools Abdul Jabbar Shaheen and Punjab Textbook Board Managing Director Nawazish Ali, teams constituted to monitor process of books preparation and publishing are submitting daily reports to authorities concerned.
