LAHORE
The administration of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) has strongly rubbished allegation of Young Doctors Association (YDA) Punjab that some senior doctors from the SKMCH&RC had tried to pressurise the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) so as to prevent their hiring by the Children’s Hospital, Lahore, terming it totally false, malicious and baseless.
In a statement issued on Saturday, it was said that the SKMCH&RC had previously informed the CPSP regarding the unavailability of an approved supervisor for its paediatric oncology fellowship training programme, but the hospital was unaware of the abolition of this or any other training programme at SKMCH&RC by the CPSP.
