The Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Baskent University, Ankara, Turkey, for exploring new avenues of training, teaching and research between the institutions.
The agreement was signed on Saturday by the president of the Baskent University and a renowned transplant surgeon, Professor Dr Mehmat Haberal and SIUT director Professor Dr Adeeb-ul-Hasan Rizvi.
Dr Mehmat is currently on a two-day visit to Pakistan to perform the ground breaking ceremony of SIUT’s children and cardiac hospital.
The agreement will open new vistas of cooperation between SIUT and Baskent University for providing training facilities, research and teaching of doctors, paramedics and other staff associated with medicine.
Baskent University is a prestigious academic institution of Turkey imparting educational facilities not only in the field of healthcare but also in 19 other academic disciplines.
