KARACHI: MOL Pakistan, the operator of TAL Block, has made a significant hydrocarbon discovery at exploratory well Mardankhel-I, which has been drilled and is currently under testing phase, a statement said on Monday.
Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL) has a 25 percent pre-commerciality working interest in the block, it said.
As per the Drill Stem Test (DST), the well has tested 516 barrels per day of condensate, 12.78mmscf of gas per day and 180 barrels per day of water.
“DSTs are also planned to test the potential of other formations and the true potential of the well will be known after the conclusion of testing of all the formations and finalisation of the completion strategy for optimum production,” POL said in a bourse filing.
