‘Plan being devised to develop Dir’

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister Inayatullah Khan has said that a comprehensive plan is being devised for the development of Dir to improve infrastructure, health, education and other sectors for which suggestions from government officers and experts in relevant fields would be needed.
Addressing an oath-taking ceremony of Dir Officers Welfare Association (DOWA) here, the minister said there was no dearth of talent in the Dir Valley and people from both Upper and Lower Dir districts were performing duties on high posts in different departments.
He urged the officers to perform duty with devotion and service to the humanity. Lauding the services of DOWA, he said the organization united the officers belonging to Dir irrespective of any political affiliation and founding member of the body like Dr Mohibullah who always played vital role for the welfare of the people.He took oath from the newly elected office-bearers of the organization including president Muhammad Naeem, general secretary Ilyas Syed, vice-president Syed Hidayat Jan, joint secretary Rashid Khan Paindakhel, finance secretary Prof Azizud Din, Khalid Hussain Jan, press secretary, and Falak Naz coordination secretary.
Dr Mohibullah is patron-in-chief of DOWA with Mubarak Zeb Khan, Dr Zahid Shah and Sharif Ahmad are members of executive board. The ceremony was attended by KP Finance Minister Muzafar Said, Member National Assembly Sahibzada Tariqullah, Member Provincial Assembly Said Gul and others. Naeem Khan and Dr Mohibullah also spoke on the occasion.
