Sarah Mahboob clinches tennis tourney title
KARACHI: Sarah Mahboob Khan added yet another feather to her cap as she clinched NBP Ladies National Tennis title at PTF Tennis Complex on Saturday in Islamabad.
In the title game, she defeated Sara Mansoor, who was the top seeded player of the tournament. Sarah Mahboob looked in sublime form in and won title match in straight sets by 6-1, 6-1.
Earlier, she had defeated Zoha Asim in a hard fought contest in the semi-final. Sara Mansoor qualified for final after beating Shimza Naz.
Sarah Mahboob pairing with Sara Mansoor clinched the ladies doubles title by beating Esha Jawad and Mahvish Chishtie.
Shimza Naz of Lahore won girls under-18 title as she beat Zoha Asim in a match which lasted for more than two hours.
Eight years old Haniya Mihnas completed double crown as she won girls under-14 title after beating Amna Ali. On Friday evening, she had clinched girls under-10 title.
