PM to visit Chakwal on Jan 5

CHAKWAL: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf will visit Chakwal on January 5.
This was said by PPP local leader Raja Sanaul Haq advocate while addressing party workers here on Sunday. He said that the prime minister would address a big public meeting at the Government Postgraduate College and would announce a huge development package for the district. Raja Sana said that once Chakwal was a stronghold of the PPP but unfortunately due to the lack of leadership, the party lost its political control in the district. He, however, said that there was a strong vote bank of the PPP in the district. He claimed that the PPP with the support of the PML-Q would sweep the polls in the district. He criticised the Punjab government and said that the PML-N victimised opponents belonging to the district during its five-year rule. PPP district president Shahjahan Sarfraz Raja was also present on the occasion.
‘NO ROOOM FOR OPPORTUNISTS IN PML-N’: PML-N district president Liaqat Ali Khan has said that only those politicians, who will join the party unconditionally, will be welcomed.
Talking to newsmen at the inauguration of a local hotel here on Sunday, he said that opportunists would not be tolerated in the PML-N. He was confident that the PML-N would win all six seats in the district during the general election as Chakwal was its stronghold. Ch Qasim Ali Khan, Raja Khizar Iqbal, Sardar Najaf Ali Khan, Ch Nawaz, Raja Hasanat Dhoda, Sheikh Bilal Ashiq, Haji Munir Ahmad Siddique, Haji Sohail Usman and Rab Nawaz Rajput were also present on the occasion.
