30 injured in bus-van collision

HAFIZABAD: More than 30 people were injured in a collision between a bus and a van near Khanna Bhattian village on Thursday.

 

A bus carrying a marriage party was going to Faisalabad from Gujrat when it collided with a van. As a result, more than 30 people, including Munir Ahmad, Ali Sabir, Iman, Azra Bibi, Muhammad Hammad, Aqib, Muhammad Arif, Nasir, Asghar, Bashir, Rana Khalid, Muhammad Shoaib, Muhammad Munir, Muhammad Umar, Shabana Bibi, Saira, Razia Bibi, Inayat Bibi, Muskan, Rashida, Falak Sher and Shujaat, were injured. All the injured people were rushed to the DHQ Hospital where five of them were in critical condition.

 

SHOS RESHUFFLED: District Police Officer Malik Karamat on Thursday reshuffled SHOs of different police stations.

 

Kassesay SHO Arif Hussain has been posted as the City SHO, City SHO Muhammad Ijaz Butt as the Kassesay SHO and Malik Arif Hussain as the Sadr SHO. Rana Ikram has been posted as the Sukheke SHO, Rai Muhammad Aslam as the Kassoke SHO and Kassoke SHO Rana Muhammad Iqbal as the Pindi Bhattian SHO. Kaleke SHO Khalid Dohotar has been transferred and posted as the judicial guard in-charge. Meanwhile, the DPO suspended Pindi Bhattian SHO Rana Sajjad Ali and Tibba Shah Bahlol police post in-charge Adnan Tarar.

 

CONDOLENCE REFERENCE: The District Bar Association held a condolence reference for former bar president Naseemullah Chattha here on Thursday.

 

The condolence reference was presided over by DBA president Syed Nasir Sherazi. The lawyers paid tributes to the services of Naseem Chattha and prayed for the departed soul. Naseem Chattha had died some days ago.

 

QUL: Qul of the mother of Peer Syed Shabbir Hussain Shah and Peer Fida Hussain Shah will be held at Jamia Masjid Al-Farooq, Vanike Road, on April 14.
