Father kills daughter in the name of honour

LAHORE: A 23-year-old newly married girl was axed to death by her father in the name of ‘honour’ in Garden Town Sunday.
The victim identified as Sehr contracted love marriage with Usman two months ago; following which her father Abdul Raheem had nurtured a grudge against her. On the day of incident, he took his daughter to his house after assuring her in-laws that he would hold ‘Rukhsati’ ceremony. Later, he axed her to death and escaped from the crime scene. Body was shifted to the morgue.
