There has been a lot of criticism coming from all corners of the country about Barack Obama’s visit to India mainly because we felt jilted. We need to be realistic and understand why the US president skipped our country. We are facing threats that have endangered the very existence of our country. Unfortunately, new problems are cropping up every now and then due to a weak leadership and poor governance and yet we continue squabbling over almost every issue. In such a situation how can we expect Obama to visit us?
We should be thankful to China for remaining a trusted friend. This is despite the fact that the Chinese president had to cancel his state visit a few months back because of the precarious political situation prevailing in the country at the time. A lot of brainstorming is required to understand our deep-rooted problems. We need a genuine leadership. We need to purge different mafias to put our country on the road to progress. Our poor PM is solely supervising the energy crisis, economic issues, the war on terror and at the same time dealing with a volatile Imran Khan. This is not how states function.
