In keeping with the past, India has begun a diplomatic campaign to tarnish Pakistan’s image in the international community. The result is that this narrative is having a negative effect on our ongoing efforts against terrorism. There is a dire need to counter this nefarious propaganda at all levels. In this regard, both our media and the government should join hands to respond to the Indian allegations effectively.
What has India done for world peace? Nothing. Pakistan has sacrificed more than 60,000 people in the fight against terrorism, besides helping the world in its pursuit of terrorist organisations and their remnants. Contrary to this, neither did India abide by the UN resolution on the Kashmir issue, nor did it give the people of Kashmir their right to self–determination. It has also not punished the perpetrators of the Samjhota Express incident. Do we not highlight issues like the massacre of Muslims in Gujarat, treatment meted out to Sikhs, Christians and the forcible mass conversion of minorities by the RSS, etc? The government and media must intensify their efforts to contain this malicious campaign.
