Case against university official registered
SUKKUR: Ghulam Murtaza Lakho, project director of Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur, has been booked in a fraud case.
Reports said that the Shah Abdul Latif University police station Khairpur has booked Project Director Ghulam Murtaza Lakho in a case on the complaint of one Azhar Ali Maitlo, who alleged that the project director had committed some fraud in a plot deal with him.
The Station House Officer confirmed registration of the case.
Meanwhile, Ghulam Ali, a brother of Lakho, said that his brother had been missing for a week, but now he had learnt that his brother was in police custody.
He said that the police disclosed on Wednesday after a news story appeared in a newspaper that a case of fraud had been registered against his brother. He alleged that the charges against his brother were fabricated and that the university administration was behind the fabricated case.
