Killer awarded death, fine

BAHAWALPUR: Bahawalnagar District and Sessions Judge Nisar Ahmad on Monday awarded death sentence, 7-year imprisonment and Rs 300,000 fine to Muhammad Shafiq alias Pappu in a murder case.
According to the prosecution, Shafiq had shot dead his brother-in-law Muhammad Younis and injured his wife and son over a family dispute at Chak 110/6R on September 19, 2015. The amount of fine, received from the convict, would be paid to the heirs of the deceased as compensation.
