Notice to govt in farmers package case

Justice Shahid Karim of the Lahore High Court on Tuesday issued notice and sought reply from federal government on a petition challenging the prime minister's package for farmers. 

A local farmer Sardar Shaban filed the petition terming this package discriminatory. He alleged that the government was not facilitating all the farmers of the province and only party affiliated farmers were given benefit of this package.

The petitioner told the court that the farmer package  of the prime minister  was discriminatory and should be declared null and void.
