Prisoner hanged in Bahawalpur jail

BAHAWALPUR: A condemned prisoner was hanged in the New Central Jail on Tuesday.
The convict, Haider Shahzad of Hasilpur, had killed Muhammad Amin. He was awarded death sentence by the Hasilpur additional district and sessions judge in 2002. Meanwhile, the body of the convict was handed over to his family after completing legal formalities.
Another swine flu patient at BVH

BAHAWALPUR: Another patient of swine flu was admitted to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH) isolation ward on Tuesday.
Talking to The News, BVH Director Emergency Dr Aamer Mehmood Bukhari said Rafia Bibi of Hasilpur was admitted to the gynaecology ward for delivery where she was detected with swine flu virus. After the birth of a child, she was shifted to the isolation ward.
