Posters, banners urge Gen Raheel to withdraw retirement decision
LAHORE/SARGODHA: Posters, banners and hoardings were displayed in Lahore, Faisalabad and Sargodha urging Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif to withdraw his decision of retirement.
The banners, posters and plastic hoardings were displayed at different roads of Lahore. Banners and hoardings were inscribed with demands such as: “Please, no retirement,” “The whole nation wants you to continue to defend the homeland,” “For God's sake, don’t talk about to go.”
The banners and hoardings were installed at various roads including the Mall, Chamber of Commerce and Industry Roads. While in Sargodha, different banners and posters were displayed with the pictures of General Raheel Sharif by Khadam-e-Khalq Society in the vicinity of Noori Gate, Urdu Bazar and District Kutchery in which the COAS is asked, “For the sake of the respect of mothers and sisters and the holy blood of martyrs you are requested to take back decision of retirement.”
