Protest outside DPO office against robberies

OKARA: Scores of locals Saturday staged a protest demonstrated outside the office of the District Police Officer against rising incidents of robberies in the area.
Locals of 22/GD village gathered outside the DPO office and demanded police effective steps to combat dacoity and theft incidents in the area. DPO Muhammad Faisal Rana met leaders of the protesters and ordered a case against robbers.
POLICE VEHICLE INJURES MAN: A motorcyclist was injured when a police vehicle hit him on Saturday.
Allegedly, a vehicle of the DPO hit motorcyclist Muhammad Afzal of village Dolowal and injured him. He was rushed to DHQ hospital. Whereas, the DPO office clarified that the man was hit by the vehicle of District Police Lines.
