A few politicians have condemned the firing by LEAs on the protesting PIA employees, resulting in deaths and injuries. They should, however, not forget their part in pushing PIA to the abyss by appointing unqualified persons and recruiting unnecessary staff in bulk without any justification during their tenure.
It is mainly due to their own doings that PIA had to be restructured to save it from total collapse. Instead of political point-scoring, they should gracefully acknowledge their ‘contribution’ in stirring the strong reaction by the PIA employees.
