The speed of justice

This refers to the news report, ‘Strikes, kicking of judges cannot stop justice delivery: acting CJ’ (January 17). We all know that the cogs of our justice system turn incredibly slowly, and undeniably not much heed is paid to the principles of a fair trial in our country.

What steps has the government taken so far and what legislative work has been done to improve the justice system? One should visit the court of any magistrate to understand the reality.
