Tevta jobs expo in March

LAHORE 

Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) will organise international expo first time in the history of Pakistan at Lahore in second week of March, 2016.

This expo will be held with the collaboration of National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC).

The objective to organise this international expo is to arrange job opportunities to the thousands of skilled manpower of Punjab Province under one umbrella.

This was stated by Tevta Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh while addressing a meeting of officers at  TEVTA secretariat. Chief Operating Officer Jawwad Ahmed Qureshi, Engineer Azhar Iqbal Shad, Akhtar Abbas Bharwana and other officers were also present on this occasion.

Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that Tevta, NAVTTC and PVTC as a part of its employment generation through skill development were arranging this mega event to make a significant contribution to developing a trained work-force in Punjab to get absorbed by the local and foreign industry. Multinational companies of Malaysia, Korea, Middle East and Europe, including other countries will conduct on the spot interviews to provide jobs to trained youth. To make this mega event more successful and purposeful, multipurpose events will also be arranged, including Entrepreneurial Hub Exhibition, career counselling conference etc.

Tevta Chairperson further said that already trained youth of Tevta, PVTC and NAVTTC across the province of the Punjab would also be invited. This expo will also be attended by large number of participants across the province of the Punjab.

Dignitaries from government departments, academia and private sector will also be invited to make it an interactive session.
