ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's security establishment is said to be sincerely and seriously probing Pathankot attack as per National Action Plan (NAP) and for the sake of Pakistan without any external pressure.

A senior source in the security establishment told ‘The News’ that Pakistan, however, expected from India to look into recent Indian attacks against Pakistan and noted, "Time of proxies has gone and that means it has gone for Pakistan and also for India. The need to finish this aspect is incumbent on both India and Pakistan."

Regarding the recent action being taken in the wake of Pathankot attack, the source said, "The action being taken will be across the board and is being done as part of National action Plan (NAP)." The source explained, "It's not being done under pressure, it is being done for the sake of Pakistan."

The action, it is said, is being taken on the basis of own investigation as the information shared by Indians is seen as "minimum requirement" and "inconclusive". "They have provided a few names and a few numbers and personal details of a few individuals in Pakistan which are basically common knowledge and one can get it from International ID websites or True Caller etc, the source said, adding, "The information shared with Pakistan does not link the given data with the incident. Only the calls made are pertinent those could be made on purpose of fabrication."

The source said that Pakistan was genuinely carrying out investigation and would bring out facts without hiding anything.  The source insisted that this was being done without any compromises on Pakistan's principled stance on Kashmir and other issues with India.

The action being taken is without any prejudice or malice towards any, it is said. The Pakistani security establishment, however, expects from India to address Pakistan's serious concerns.

"The issues of Samjotha Express, Indian support to Baloch Feraris, TTP and Daesh inside Afghanistan have already been taken up and later will be linked to further actions on Pathankot incident," the source said.

It is lamented that following Pathankot incident, the Indian proxies go for an explosion in Quetta followed by an attack in Pakistani consulate in Jalalabad.

Very next day PIA office in New Delhi was attacked by goons of Bajrang Dal between 1430-1500 hours.

It is pointed out that a police constable was present nearby but he didn't stop the miscreants. PIA Station Manager Mr Saeed contacted Pakistan High Commission and reported the matter which was then officially conveyed to Indian Ministry of External Affairs.

"The incident speaks loudly of Indian intent in the aftermath of Pathankot incident," the source said highlighting that Indian Defence Minister and Army Chief blatantly threatened Pakistan of dire consequences. They talked of the opening a front of their own choice.

"Is there still a front left to be opened by India," the source said, wondering, "who is destabilising Pakistan?"

A senior Security establishment source said that the investigations so far have confirmed one point that no one from Pakistan soil had gone to India for Pathankot attack.
