PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Senator Sirajul Haq on Tuesday said his party would win the next election on the basis of its performance.
“The people of KP will support the JI to bring about a real revolution in the province,” he told a meeting of the provincial Majlis-i-Shura of the party here. He said the JI councilors would play their role in addressing the problems of their areas.
Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, provincial head of JI, expressed concern over the standoff between Saudi Arabia and Iran, terming it a conspiracy to create a rift between Sunnis and Shia sects. JI provincial general secretary Abdul Wasi, Maulana Asadullah, Maulana Ismail, Mairajuddin Khan, Sahibzada Haroonur Rashid and others attended.
