Minorities being discriminated in India: report
LAHORE:Implementation Minority Rights Forum and All Neighbours’ International on Minority Rights and Religious Freedom organised a conference, an Eid Milan Party, at a local hotel here on Thursday.
Dr James Shera, Mayor Rugby, the first Pakistani Christian to be elected as mayor in Britain, talked about a research from London School of Economics that highlights how religious minorities are being discriminated against in India. Dr Shera said, "The report titled ‘Destructive Lives’ is based on comprehensive investigations and discussions with Christians and Muslims across India. It paints a deeply troubling picture, a methodical campaign of violent persecution, disregarded or even encouraged by members of police, judiciary, media and even many politicians.”
