UN mission for enhancing CSR model in Tharparkar

SUKKUR: The United Nations Resident Coordinator (UNRC) in Pakistan, Julian Harneis, has said the UN would extend technical support to the Thar Foundation to enhance the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR) work in Thar.
After visiting Taluka Islamkot in district Tharparkar, Julian Hereis said it was good to give back to the society and termed it the best CSR model in Pakistan, providing public-private partnership that could help develop Tharparkar.
The UN delegation visited Thar Coal Block-II and adjoining communities, including mine site, Thar Foundation hospital, school, biosaline agriculture model farms, Thar million trees project, women-run drinking water RO plants at Seengaro village, and New Senhri Dars Resettlement Village.
